A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a supremely organised individual to work for us here at CommsConsult; a growing and professional communications company working in the field of international development based at the lovely new Jubilee Warehouse building in Penryn, Cornwall, UK.
As the Finance and Admin Officer, you will have main responsibility for ensuring the smooth running of the company financial systems (via a cloud-based accounting system) on a day to day basis and also provide smart administrative solutions (including HR, office management and general business support) to our small and friendly team. You will bring with you the perfect balance of calm and enthusiastic; creative and systematic; responsive and assertive; and independent and team worker.
You will play a key role in developing and maintaining effective and efficient internal financial and admin systems to support the wide range of projects and services the company delivers. These vary from desk studies lasting a few days, to global consultancies of a few years, involving half a dozen consultants working across Africa so you must be efficient, effective and sufficiently experienced not to be phased by new challenges and fluid working arrangements.
The successful candidate must have experience of working within a financial role, experience of using a cloud-based accounting system (such as Sage or Kashflow) and bookkeeping experience. They will be highly computer literate with database experience. HR and office support experience would also be an advantage.
20-25 hours per week over 5 days (to be negotiated at offer stage)
£18,000-£20,000 pa pro rata (salary dependent on experience)
