Nyasha Musandu is the CommsConsult Training specialist. She manages a unit which delivers tailor made, fit-for-purpose capacity building solutions for development practitioners dealing with complex communication challenges. She is a strategic communication and tactical support specialist with experience in leading and supporting communication and policy engagement interventions for researchers, knowledge intermediaries and development practitioners. Her role includes identifying and developing capacity strengthening modules to meet the varying communication needs of organisations.

Her interest lies in using communication as a transformative tool for improving development outcomes. She also brings an understanding of the challenges and underlying complexities of trying to inform development outcomes through engaging in decision-making processes.

She is a versatile communicator, comfortable with communicating and demystifying research evidence. She believes that capacity strengthening is a process of tapping into an individual’s inherent knowledge and nurturing it through practical activities to embed confidence in using new tools and processes for communication.

Nyasha also contributes to the Research to Action as the Training Co-ordinator.
